‘Tiny Hearts’ refers to our philosophy that love, care and attention come first when caring for children in our setting and ‘Big Futures’ refers to the varied skills and purposeful knowledge that children will have gained and developed in our care, enabling them to succeed in their future endeavours.
We bring our vision to life by cultivating a culture in our nursery with the following values at its heart:
Here at ‘Tiny Hearts Big Futures’ we provide high quality provision which meets the expectations of the Early Years Framework:
All Early Years practitioners, educating children from the age of 3, are required to pursue daily rich activities to support each child’s educational development across seven areas of learning. Through purposeful provision activities and a balance between adult-led and child initiated learning, your children will enjoy a fun, inspiring and motivating curriculum where they will learn and develop in each of the following areas:
There are three prime areas of learning which are particularly important for your child’s development and their future learning:
There are four specific areas of learning through which the prime areas are strengthened and applied:
Our curriculum is bespoke and ambitious as it will be focused upon our children, their interests and the community they live in. At the heart of our curriculum is is the children's personal, social and emotional development, and this will go hand in hand with developing their knowledge and understanding of the world, ensuring that we create a world of opportunities for them. We believe that each child is a unique child, and our curriculum will aim to develop the individual, challenging them at every opportunity whilst building on knowledge and skills.
One of our main aims is to provide a language rich and stimulating environment that promotes a love of language and literacy. As soon as your child is ready, we will develop attention and listening skills through shared group time and activities such as listening to stories or listening for sounds in the environment. Opportunities for speaking and the development of the children’s vocabulary is also at the heart of our curriculum. We will have daily nursery rhymes, stories and plentiful opportunities to immerse your children into the wonderful world of books, no matter what their age.
